Pet services are provided to dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, fish and guinea pigs. No services will be provided to overly aggressive animals, exotic animals or reptiles. Services are provided within the City of Winnipeg and Headingley. A small mileage fee will be charged
where travel beyond 10 km (one way) from Charleswood is required (this
applies to initial consultations/visits also).
Please Note: All of the following services will be available during evenings, weekends and holidays only. No daytime hours during the weekdays are available at this time.
Pet Sitting:
Pet sitting includes playing, walk/exercise, feeding, basic medication and lots of cuddles in the comfort of your own home. Each visit is approximately 30-40 minutes long and includes basic home maintenance at no extra charge. The cost of an individual visit (eg. one evening visit including playing, feeding, basic medication) is $14.00, for up to 2 pets.
Extended pet sitting services (which might be utilized while on vacation) would include cleaning of litter boxes, basic home maintenance, watering plants, putting out garbage, etc. The cost for extended pet sitting services (which includes 2 sittings per day) is $28.00 per day, for up to 2 pets. Any additional pets will be an additional charge of $2.00.
Home Sitting:
Although pets are our first priority, should you not have pets but require home sitting and basic maintenance of your home (ie. closing/opening of draperies, bringing in mail, taking out garbage, giving the home a "lived in" look), this can be arranged. Please call us for availability and pricing.
Dog Walking:
Dog walking is done within your neighborhood and is adjusted according to your pets' needs. Each dog is unique and one dog might enjoy a leisurely stroll, while another more active dog may want a brisk, challenging walk. Walks are adjusted in accordance with the age and health of your pet. Walks are 20-30 minutes in duration and cost $14.00. For each additional dog that is walked, there is an additional charge of $2.00. Dog walking (as a regular,
pre-arranged service) is only provided within the Charleswood/St.
James/Headingley areas.
Overnight Stays:
Overnight stays occur in the pet owner's home and provide that extra reassurance and comfort that some pets enjoy in knowing that someone is at home with them. You will be provided with the extra security of knowing that both your home and pet are safe and your home will have the "lived in" look. Basic home maintenance is included. The cost of an overnight stay is $49.00 per night (up to 2 pets).
Weekend Getaways:
For those that wish to getaway for the weekend, knowing that their pet is well taken care of in the comfort of their own home, we offer a Weekend Getaway package. This includes one pet sitting on Friday evening, 3 pet sittings (one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the evening) on Saturday, and one sitting on Sunday morning, as required. Again basic home maintenance and providing that "lived in" look (with adjusting of draperies/lights, etc.) is complimentary with this package. The cost of the Weekend Getaway package is $70.00.
Pet Check - for small, caged pets (such as guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, birds):
Pet Checks involve visiting your home, ensuring the pet is doing well, and refilling water and food dishes. If you are more comfortable with having your caged pet stay with us, this can be discussed as an option. Pet Checks generally last around 15-20 minutes and the cost is $12.00. Should your pets cage require some basic maintenance and cleaning while you are away, this can be arranged for a nominal fee.
